09/30/2002 Entry: "Engine tour with W.A.S.P. cancelled!"
Metal Blade confirmed that Engine will not be touring with W.A.S.P. (I don't know the complete details of whether this tour is still happening or not, so check the W.A.S.P. website if you are interested -- www.waspnation.com).
Stay tuned, as Metal Blade is still trying to arrange more tour dates for Engine...

Engine-I saw engine in phoenix and it was a great show.Im sorry that the new tour has been cancelled, however, wasp and stephan pearcy?Touring with these dinosaurs would not have yeilded many new fans. With all this nu-metal going around(some good, some bad)touring with these acts could benefit with a new and younger audience.I buy 2-4 new c.d.s a week and there is alot of great hard rock/metal swirling around these days which hasnt been the case always.Fates Warning is the only band that started in the 80s that I follow simply because they are a great band(2 guitars are better than 1)now with Ray and engine, this fits right in with what is hot, now.The sound is current, produced well, has hooks, and the fact that "realize" is not getting national airplay is criminal. Please get engine on a tour with other current ,hot new metal acts.Metal Blade needs to throw some money at this and push this album.Example:Roadrunner records was nothing 5 years ago, then started spending money on the artists, getting CURRENT new artists and now is the undisputed champs of hard rock.If the record label wont get behind a band, then who will?Granted this is a side project for those involved, but on the same bill with Wasp?Try Flaw,Sinch,5 point zero, nonpoint, trust co.,onesidezero,cold,Hell....Jerry Cantrell.Stonesour is currently at #27 on billboard because of promotion.WOW.OrI could be all wrong and Metal Blade could be the dinosaur!
