John Arch solo album news -- from a Metal Blade press release:
John Arch, former front man of the ever-popular progressive rock band
Fates Warning, has just signed a solo deal with Metal Blade Records. The
solo EP will be approximately 20 minutes in length and John Arch will
have the help of some amazing musicians backing him up like Jim Mathoes
on Guitar, Joey Vera on bass and Mike Portnoy on drums. The tentative
title will be John Arch A Twist of Fate. Expect nothing short of sheer
genius from these musicians! More information soon to follow.

It's Great to hear this news!!
John is without a doubt a gifted lyricist whose ability to take his thoughts and transform them into a
story that beautifully weaves in and out among the music has surely been missed. There isn't a person who followed John including myself who hasn't asked him every time we meet "When are you going to do something" Good things take time and after a 17 year wait, the time has come for "John Arch To Be Heard" - Wishing him the best

I've been waiting for this for a very long time. I never thought it would happen. The master of the intense melody line returns! Life will be good. Thanks for giving us more John!
