Desde que los conocí, me han sorprendido con su técnica y fuerza, y no me han decepcionado. Es la banda que este año, ha demostrado que tiene material para editar un nuevo álbum y no se queda con lo ya hecho.

Give Joey Vera his due. Since he joined FW the sound of the band has progressed....Also his talents made those ENGINE albums so great.
thank you Joey Vera, and armoured saint

Simply awesome!

I agree that it sounds like a natural progression from disconnected. The mix sounds better already as far as the drums and the guitar is thicker in the mix. It is also wetter kinda of reminds me of the how the first ENGINE CD sounds....big and HUGE. Sounds GREAT!! Cant Wait. Ray has the best voice in METAL......period.

just need the full tour to include john arch. hail the past, present, and the future!!! also, is frank playing on tour again like last year??
Posted by shane @ 09/06/2004 12:18 AM PST
WHAT A HEAVY BEGINING!! GREAT song!! Anxiously waiting for the full tour! Now how the hell does anyone even think this might be the end? wherever you got that info from POST it here NOW cause i know it doesn't exist but if you think it does let us all see it!! That's right FATES will be around longer than most unbelievers think!!

I agree with Rob, this is in no way the end for these guys. Just because they lose a drummer doesn't mean they can't replace him. There are a lot of great drummers out there, and I'm sure they're gonna find one just as good if not better than Mark Zonder. He's added a great sound to the band for years, and now it's just someone else's turn. Let's all welcome the change and continue to support one of the greatest prog rock bands in history instead of talk about the end. I'm behind you all the way guys!!!!

Great tune, even WITHOUT the incomparable keyman Kevin Moore of Chromakey & ex-DT... http://www.chromakey.com
The music's tight, Ray rocks (as usual) and Joey Vera rules!!!

Why does everyone think this is "it" for Fates???? The song ROCKS....

Hey, I had another idea for an eventual drummer... Years ago there was a band called "LEGER DE MAIN", whose second album I suggest EVERYBODY, and the drummer was quite amazingly sounding like Mark, but had a more pronounced "war feeling". His name was Brett Rodler... Even though I lost his traces I've always been amazed by "Second First Impression" which was very thoughtful and complicated at the same time.. Pick it up, you won't be disappointed. The female singer had quite a nice voice and very good ideas for lyrics. The astonish thing about that band was that they were three.

It sounds nice, but we must listen to the entire album to express opinion. I hope that they won't dissapoint us, because I feel that the end is near and I want to be a superb one...

Yes, an interesting little ditty in 5/4, with an added quarter note to the measure (6/4) for the chorus.
Enjoy the CD guys.

Posted by kevin @ 08/31/2004 02:49 PM PST
Yes, like "Disconnected" but as promised, a bit "heavier" and a little wetter on the reverb, too, gives it a bigger sound... can't wait to pick it up :)

Wheeeeeeeew! Air for my ears, at least! Can't but agree with the guys... It sounds a lot like Disconnected... Do this means the Guys have reached the maturity? I like very much the guitar! Still counting the sand grains to X!
Posted by Fab @ 08/31/2004 11:37 AM PST
Sounds like a natural evolution from Disconnected. Have to hear the full album! When I first heard One a couple of years ago before the release of Disconnected, I was left wondering if I would liked it or not. Disconnected is in my top tree FW albums. X will surely not disapoint as each album has something special.

Posted by Robert @ 08/30/2004 09:09 PM PST
YES! From listening to this new track I can tell this is going to be a MONSTER album! One of those records that you CANNOT stop listening to...Thanks Fates guys for putting out another quality recording...
Posted by Edwin @ 08/30/2004 06:57 PM PST
Nice groove... it's too bad that this could very well be "it" for Fates.
I think it would've been cool to go out with more of an "ensemble" cast of past/present Fates members, but I'll take what I can get...
